This will be a short one due to the 9 minutes I have left to post because Joe used 21 of our 30 minutes for fantasy sports updates....
Thailand is beautiful, we have mainly been doing street exploring and familiarizing ourselves with the area. We got scammed into riding a tuk tuk to our hotel from which drivers prey on innocent tourists like ourselves with gargantuan backpacks and sweat pouring from every which way on our bodies. It was interesting, but didn't end well. It was a very confusing situation which I will go in depth on later.
Our hotel is great, the people are so nice and the breakfasts are 5 stars in my book. There are little lizzards that appear outside at night and small constructed houses everywhere with incsence out side of them for worshiping. There is a a very distinct smell to Bangkok, and sounds of tropical birds everywhere. The temperature has been hot and humid in the low to upper 90s each day. The pool here has become a daily routine. There is a cute little Thai boy here that splashes me every time I get in the pool, it's quite silly.
The food has been yummy in our tummies, we went to a market via express boat and got these awesome waffles with bananna and blueberries YUUM..
okay that's all the time I have we are going to try and upload some photos, although we haven't taken the best ones yet, see you soon!
Love,
Us
We packed our bags for 50 days and came back not wanting to leave. This trip opened our lives to beauty I can't describe (but this blog is an attempt to). We can't wait to be a part of something this big again.

Thailand and Vietnam from Oct. 27th-Dec.16th!
Travel Plans for
As most of you (important ones) know, Joe and I are traveling to
We will either extend our stay there or switch to another hotel for a couple more days until our flight to Vietnam. There we will stay for about two weeks with two particular excursions in mind. One being a three day kayaking trip in Halong Bay and another being a country side expedition in Sa Pa including one three night home stay with a local family in the tribal village. Sa Pa has beautiful rice terracing across the whole countryside, so instead of flat rows of wheat and corn which we are used to in the Midwest, we will be experiencing a little different scenery which is a completely normal day to day farming technique there.
After Sa Pa we will fly back to Bangkok and then head south in Thailand to the beautiful islands and turquoise water. I can't say for certain right now where we are headed first, but I will update you as soon as I figure it out. Hopefully I will get Joe to post on here too, because he is great at documenting adventures. This will give you both of our perspectives on where we will be!
Stay tuned, many photos and travel stories to come....
